We want to train the smartest experts in their fields

WTF is AI is workforce training for the cautiously curious.

We teach the people who know their work best how to apply AI to it: the basics, how agents work, and how to lead an agentic strategy for your career and your organization.

What will shape the economy are AI agents. Agents do whole pieces of knowledge work, very well, from start to finish. An agent is only as good as the expertise that builds it and manages it to meet an organization's needs over time. That expertise belongs to the people who are already the best at their jobs, the subject matter experts and leaders who are leaders in their functions.

We know these leaders are ready for this, because we talk with them. As a CEO who is hiring, Sheila works with and interviews leaders in their fields every day, and they're eager to apply AI to the work they know best. The professionals who understand AI will lead the next economy, and the most knowledgeable people in every field belong at the front. We work closely with the best experts in their fields so they can shape agentic strategy in their careers and organizations.

From Chatbots to Agents

A structured pathway to understand innovation in the AI economy.

The Starting Point

Evaluate your current AI skills

Take our AI readiness quiz to evaluate the habits you've already built with AI, and identify the gaps to focus on during the cohort.

Foundational AI Knowledge

Learn about the AI layers

Understand the underlying systems that will drive agentic AI, the AI economy and change the knowledge worker landscape as we know it.

Map and Build it

Apply your expertise

Draw out your agentic AI idea, begin building the pieces with your cohort, Sheila and your developer hours. Understand the magic of applied AI.

Executive Level Facilitators

We build what we teach.

We've built and implemented healthcare software on enterprise-grade technology together. We see first hand how AI is changing the work, and what teams need to lead it.

Sheila Pande · CEO

A non-technical CEO who built an AI-native business

In one year she built three software products and ten complex agents. She talks with investors every day about where the workforce is headed.

Bryan Dennstedt · CTO

20 years of technical innovation, across industries

As a fractional CTO he works inside many organizations at once. He sees how they capitalize on AI, and where their next opportunities are.

Plus

Special guest executives in AI

Leaders in executive leadership, data and innovation join for live sessions. To be announced.

“The people who are best at their jobs are best positioned to apply AI, but few are receiving formal training in applied AI, AI-native innovations, or operations. This program trains well-established professionals on the next skill set, agentic AI, that is soon to be as ubiquitous as typing.”

Sheila Pande · Founder, WTF is AI and Tandem

Hold your own with engineering, vendors and the board, and tell real innovation from hype.

A circle of peers

Nine other experts steering their industries, and a Slack community that keeps going after the cohort ends.

Questions

What is Steer?

Steer: Applied Agentic AI for Leaders and Execs is WTF is AI's 12-week executive program for VPs and executives who want to take their AI skills to the next level with agentic AI. It combines weekly live sessions and six one-hour 1:1s with CEO Sheila Pande, six group sessions with CTO Bryan Dennstedt, 50 developer hours to build your first agentic tool from your own expertise, a dedicated Slack community and the full WTF is AI course for a year.

What is agentic AI?

Agentic AI is AI that does whole pieces of knowledge work from start to finish, using tools, steps and rules, instead of answering one chat message at a time. An agent is only as good as the expertise that builds and manages it, which is why subject matter experts and the leaders of their functions are best placed to shape it.

Who is it for?

Directors, VPs and executives who own a P&L or a budget, lead a team, already use tools like Claude or ChatGPT, and want to lead agentic AI strategy for their careers and organizations. It's built for non-technical leaders.

Why are Sheila Pande and Bryan Dennstedt qualified to teach executives about AI?

Sheila Pande and Bryan Dennstedt build and manage AI-native products, teams and businesses every day, so they see first hand where capital is being allocated and where the AI economy will shrink roles and call for extremely nimble teams. Sheila, CEO of WTF is AI and Tandem, learned AI as a non-technical founder and built three software products and ten AI agents in one year. She works closely with investors, who see what is happening across their portfolio companies and have validated the hiring strategies behind her businesses. Bryan, a technologist for twenty years and a fractional CTO across industries, sees where organizations capitalize on AI and leads the sessions on security, technical requests and working with technical leadership. Together they built and implemented healthcare software on enterprise-grade technology.

How much does it cost?

The founding cohort in January 2027 is $20,000, paid as a $2,000 deposit by December 20, then $6,000 in January, February and March. Pay in full by December 20, 2026 and it's $17,000, plus 30 more developer hours (80 in total) and course access right away. Future 2027 cohorts are $30,000.

Is this technical?

It's built for non-technical leaders. You'll learn how the pieces fit and make the decisions, and the developer does the building.

Why a personal Claude account?

So what you build and learn stays yours when you change roles. You build with your own expertise and safe sample data, never your company's proprietary information, and you follow your company's AI policy.

What are the key dates?

Applications open October 19 and close December 1, reviewed on a rolling basis. Once you're accepted, a $2,000 deposit by December 20 holds your seat, or pay $17,000 in full by December 20 for the founding cohort's pay-in-full rate. The program starts the week of January 4, 2027 and runs twelve weeks.

Can my company pay?

Yes. Tell us on the application and we'll send an invoice and a letter for your professional development budget.

How do developer hours work?

You get 50, or 80 when you pay in full. Use them within six months of the start. You book them through WTF is AI with your developer. If the developer can't meet a request in time, we extend your hours. Unused hours don't carry over or turn into credit.

Can I join a later cohort?

Yes. We're taking applications for future 2027 cohorts. Tick "a future cohort" above and you'll hear first when the next one opens.

What about my team?

Team Readiness is our offer for your team: they take the AI Economy Readiness Evaluation, and you get a gap report and a plan for where to focus. Ask us about it on your 1:1.
